The Bon Accord Motorcycle Club was setup in 1955 to provide a focus for motorcycle sports people in the North East Scotland. It has over the years promoted a wide variety of motorbike diciplines including trials, motocross, enduro, road racing, quads and supermoto.
A small but very well run club, we try and cover as many bike sports as we can. We run a 12 round trials championship, an enduro championship made up of one round run by the club and all the others run by other scottish clubs, We began running Hare and Hounds events in 2007 and these have proved very popular. We currently don't run any motocross, supermoto or road racing events but do support club member who compete under the clubs name. Having said that we dont run these events just now doesn't mean we never will. We have a very successful track (pardon the pun) record of running supermoto, motocross and indeed road racing. We are always looking for new venues and when these are found we will happily return to running such events.
The club have had many proud moments in its history including introducing Supermoto to Scotland with events first held at the Royal Highland Show ground in Edinburgh before moving to a purpose built track at Edzell.
The success of the 2009 grampian motorcycle convention, which was the first time the club took over the running of the even, has led to the club being called the most progressive motorcycle club in Scotland.
The club has recently been called the most progressive club in Scotland, this point could obviously be argued but we're certainly proud to even have it said.
