1955

Bon Accord Motorcycle Club Was Founded!

Bon Accord Motorcycle Club was officially formed in 1955, marking the beginning of a community of passionate riders in the Aberdeen region. Since then, the club has grown from humble beginnings into a key organiser of off-road motorcycle sports in Scotland.

1964

Scrambles (Old Name for Motocross) Found a Home at Nether Wyndings near Stonehaven

For over three decades, the Nether Wyndings circuit near Stonehaven became home to BAMCC’s legendary scrambles — the early name for motocross. From its first race in 1964 until the final flag in 1999, the venue saw countless riders push their limits across rugged terrain, helping shape the off-road scene in the northeast of Scotland.

1966

Road Racing Launched at Crimond Airfield

In 1966 the club pioneered road racing on Crimond Airfield. The flat, open runway provided the perfect setting for high-speed events, placing Bon Accord at the forefront of Scottish motorsport innovation.

2003

Scotland's First Supermoto

Bon Accord hosted Scotland’s inaugural Supermoto competition in 2003. This exciting hybrid format—blending road and off-road elements—introduced Scottish riders to a fresh, adrenaline-filled discipline that continues to grow today.

2004

Road Racing & Supermoto at Edzell

Building on their Crimond success, Bon Accord expanded to Edzell in 2004 with both road racing and Supermoto events. The new venue provided varied terrain and drew even larger crowds and competitor numbers.

2009

Grampian Motorcycle Convention

The first Grampian Motorcycle Convention in 2009 brought together riders, enthusiasts, and industry partners. It became a highlight on the club's calendar, with demos, guest speakers, and strong community engagement.

2024

Scotland’s first Long Distance Adventure Trial - D2D

In 2024, Bon Accord introduced Scotland’s first-ever Long Distance Adventure Trial, Deeside to Donside (D2D). This innovative endurance event blended off-road challenges with long-distance navigation, establishing a new frontier in Scottish motorcycle endurance sport.
