Supermoto

Supermoto is kind of where motocross meets road racing! The bikes look like motocross bikes but have been modified with huge brakes, even more power, stiffened suspension and super sticky slick tyres. A typical supermoto track track consists of many tight and twisty bits of taramc joined up with two or three off road sections with berms and jumps. The Bon Accord club were the first club in Scotland to run supermoto racing at Ingliston near Edinburgh before moving to a purpose built track at Edzell, the club also helped establish supermoto at the kart track at Boyndie near Banff. Today supermoto in Scotland is run by the Scottish Supermoto club out of the East of Scotland Kart Club track which can be found just outside the very pretty village of Crail in the north east of Fife. This year the club also ran a round at Boyndie and made their now customary appearance at the Grampian Motorcycle Convention.
